Can we fish ?

Yes, the lake has catfish.

Are there boats ?

Yes, all our cottages are equipped with a pedal boat and two kayaks.

Are there extra housekeeping charges ?

Your stay includes a housekeeping service. You may obtain additional services for an extra fee.

Is there a supermarket nearby ?

Yes, our cottages are a 15-minute drive from the village.

Do we need to bring our own bedding ?

No, we supply all the bedding.

Is the kale swimmable ?

Yes, the water is pure and crystal-clear.

Is there a BBQ ?

Yes, all our cottages are equipped with a BBQ and two propane tanks (however, you will have to incur the cost of any extra refills).

Is the firewood for the outdoor pit or indoor fireplace included ?

No, but you can buy some from  the village supermarket.

Is smoking in the cottage allowed ?

No. All our cottages are non-smoking.

What time is check-in ?

You may take possession of the cottage as of 5 p.m. the day of your arrival.

What time is check-out ?

You must leave the cottage no later than Noon the day of your departure, or at 7 p.m. Sunday.

Are pets allowed ?

Yes, under certain conditions. If you plan to bring a pet, contact us beforehand.

How do we get to the cottage ?

Simply type the cottage’s address in your GPS device, on Google Maps or Waze, or print out the directions prior to leaving.

Do the cottages have wifi ?

Yes, but the area only enjoys basic internet reception.

Do we need to pack our own dishware, toilet paper, paper towels, etc.?

No, it’s all included. For the toilet paper and paper towels, we provide a reasonable supply intended to last the length of your stay.

Is it possible to book one overnight stay only ?

No, a minimum two-night stay is required. Also, no Sunday arrivals.

Are your cottage areas accessible by car ?

Yes, although in some cases, you might have to take a gravel road.

How do I check if I have a dock and access to the lake ?

This information is provided on the cottage spec sheet when you book.

Is a credit card mandatory when booking online ?

Yes. Telephone or online bookings must be paid via credit card or Interac e-Transfer.

Do I pay at time of booking ?

Yes. A minimum 50% deposit is required at time of booking.

I saw no availabilities online. Is there a chance I’ll find something if I call Customer Service ?

Availabilities online are in real time. Nevertheless, feel free to call us if don’t find what you’re looking for. We will do our utmost to assist you.

Do you have a standby list in the event of cancellations ?

No. Once a booking is cancelled, the unit is made available again online.

How early can I book for next year ?

We accept bookings 24 months in advance.

What taxes apply ?

The two mandatory taxes in Quebec are the GST (10%) and QST (5%). You will also have to pay a tax on lodging amounting to 3.5% of your rental fee before GST and QST.

How is my booking price calculate ?

All bookings are calculated on a per night basis, which varies depending on the season.

Why a security deposit ?

A security deposit of maximum $500 is held as collateral in the event that you should cause any damages during your stay. It is charged to your credit card at the time of booking and refunded at the end of your rental period, after the cottage has been inspected. For minor damages, a sum equal to the value of the damaged good will be deducted from the deposit.

Why a booking deposit ?

A booking deposit is the amount you must pay upon reserving a cottage. It equals 50% of the total booking cost. The deposit makes it possible to block off the rental period for you and make the reservation under your name.

What is a balance owing ?

This is the balance due 30 days before your arrival. It equals 50% of the total booking cost.
N.B. Reservations made within 30 days of the arrival date must be paid in full at the time of booking. You will receive an email confirming the amount due following your booking.

Can I modify a booking ?

We realize that plans sometimes change and we’ll be happy to modify your booking as long as there are availabilities for the new rental period or the new unit being requested.

IMPORTANT! No modifications will be permitted in the 30 days prior to your arrival date.

Can I cancel a booking ?

We will refund you your deposit if you cancel over 30 days before your arrival date. Deposits will not be refunded for cancellations within 30 days of the arrival date.

What happens if the cottage suffers damages ?

In the event of major damage or a problem preventing the unit from being occupied, you will be refunded 100% or given an equivalent cottage if available. No additional sum will be paid out.

What do I need to know before arriving ?

Prior to your arrival, we will email the information you need to access the cottage and enjoy the amenities onsite.

Should I bring any extra items ?

Before packing a specific item, check the cottage spec sheet to see if it comes with your rental. If uncertain, contact us and we’ll be happy to provide you with the information.

Any special directives I should be aware of ?

You must leave the premises in the same condition you found them in upon arriving. Additional cottage housekeeping fees and hot tub maintenance fees may apply if you fail to abide by the directives pertaining to cleanliness and proper usage.

Smoking inside the cottage is strictly forbidden. Should we have reason to believe the no-smoking rule has not been observed, your security deposit will not be refunded to you and will instead go to the owner of the cottage as payment for damages.

What do I do in the event of a power outage ?

Are there any rules regarding the use of the hot tub ?

Yes. You must shower before entering the hot tub. Also, no drinking or eating is allowed. Please note it is recommended that you limit your time to 20 minutes.

Who maintains the hot tub ?

We test the hot tub’s water before you arrive to ensure its quality. It is up to you to ensure that quality is not compromised. Nevertheless, members of our staff will drop in during your stay to make sure the water is stable.
IMPORTANT! Draining the hot tub, or adding products or water to it, is strictly forbidden.

Can I decorate the cottage during the Holiday Season ?

No need to. All our cottages are decorated for the Holidays (Christmas Tree and other decorations).

Can we go over the maximum number of people a cottage can accommodate ?

No, it is actually strictly forbidden! You must comply with the maximum capacity or risk expulsion. This applies to both daytime and overnight guests. It is for insurance purposes. We could have our contract revoked if the insurer’s requirements are not met and would be unable to file any claims in the event of an incident or accident.

How far are your cottages from Montreal ?

Our cottages are located less than 75 minutes from Montreal.

Do you keep forgotten items ?

Yes, we keep forgotten items, but for a limited time only. Get in touch with us right away if you left something behind and we’ll ensure you get it back. Please note however that we are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Can we bring our snowshoes ?

All our cottages are equipped with two pairs of adult snowshoes and one pair of children’s snowshoes.

Do we need to bring our lifejackets ?

You will have eight lifejackets of varying sizes at your disposal free of charge. We do, however, recommend you pack a lifejacket for children under the age of two.
