How far are your cottages from Montreal ?

Between 60 minutes and 75 minutes.

Is there a supermarket nearby ?

Yes, our chalets are 15 minutes from the village by car.

Do the cottages have wifi ?

Yes all of our chalets provide satellite internet. The signal and speed is considered intermediate. However, both the signal and speed can be influenced by the weather outside the chalet such as rain or snow, resulting in a reduction or loss of signal and speed.

Is the hot tub operational year round ?

Yes, 12 months a year. Please follow the instructions for use in the welcome booklet. The correct use of the spa will allow you to avoid all deductions from your security deposit.

Can we fish ?

Yes, but we don’t know what kind of fish are accessible.

Are there boats ?

We have a pedal boat and two kayaks for fun on the water, but safely wearing a life jacket. Please put the vests and paddles in the trunk after use and close the trunk lid. Be sure to moor the boats to prevent them from drifting. A fee will be charged if we have to recover it ourselves and / or if it is damaged.

Is the lake swimmable ?

Yes, the lake is swimmable. The water is pure and crystal clear.

Is there a BBQ ?

Yes, a gas cylinder is provided (additional refills are at your expense, however). You must leave it in the state it was in when you arrived. Read the household instructions in the presentation booklet carefully to avoid losing your security deposit.

Is the firewood for the outdoor pit included?

No, you can easily get it from the village supermarket.

Can we bring our snowshoes ?

You may bring your own snowshoes. The chalet does not provide this equipment.

Do we need to bring our lifejackets ?

We provide three life jackets, 2 adult sizes, and 1 for children. However, we suggest that you bring a lift jacket for children under 2 years of age.

Are your cottage areas accessible by car ?

It is strongly suggested to have a mandatory 4×4 from November to May. To go to Lili Lake you have to climb a steep slope. We are not responsible for any problems incurred if you do not follow this recommendation.

How do I check if I have a dock and access to the lake ?

You will find this information on the Guest Access Details of the listing.

House Rules & What to Pack

What do I need to know before arriving ?

Before your arrival, you will receive an email containing information on how to access the chalet and take advantage of the amenities on site.

Any special directives I should be aware of ?

All tenants must leave the premises in the same condition as they were on arrival. Additional fees for cleaning the chalet and maintaining the spa may be withheld from the security deposit if the instructions for use and cleanliness have not been observed.

Is smoking in the cottage allowed ?

No. All of our cottages are non-smoking. If you smoke outside, please do not leave any butts on the ground. Your deposit may be affected. Kindly place all butts inside of the cigarette disposal unit.

Are pets allowed ?

We accept animals with certain restrictions. We accept up to 2 animals for your stay and each animal must weigh 10 pounds or less. Exceptions can be made, please contact us for further information. We consider your pet as an additional paying guest.

If you are bringing a dog, it is important to collect your dog’s excrements and dispose of them in a responsible manner. Please do not allow your dog to urinate on the building.

Are there any rules regarding the use of the hot tub ?

Yes, you must shower before entering the hot tub. In addition, no food or drink is allowed. Please note that it is not recommended to stay there for more than 20 minutes. You can find more information on how to use the hot tub in our Welcome Booklet. A complete list of regulations that must be followed is also posted next to the hot tub.

Who maintains the hot tub ?

The quality of the hot tub water is checked before each arrival. We have qualified staff that ensures that it remains stable. During your stay, please inform us of any issues regarding the spa.

IMPORTANT !! It is strictly forbidden to drain the spa water, add chemicals or water to it.   

Do we need to bring our own bedding ?

No, all bedding is provided. Carefully read the household instructions in the presentation booklet to avoid losing your security deposit.

Do we need to pack our own dishware, toilet paper, paper towels, etc.?

No, everything is provided. Please note that we provide toilet paper and paper towels in reasonable quantities that are based on the length of your stay.

Should I bring any extra items ?

Before bringing anything, first, check the cottage sheet to find out if the item in question is provided or not. If in doubt, contact us, we will be happy to let you know.

Can I decorate the cottage during the Holiday Season ?

No need, our chalets are all decorated for stays during the holidays with Christmas Trees and decorations. However, if you want to bring your personal touch, have fun (just note that it is important to put the chalet back in the same condition as it was when you arrived)!

Can we go over the maximum number of people a cottage can accommodate ?

No, it’s strictly prohibited! You must respect the maximum capacity at all times under penalty of expulsion. This applies equally to the number of visitors during the day and night. It’s a question of insurance. Our contract risks being revoked if the criteria of the insurer are not respected and no compensation can be claimed in the event of an incident or accident. Camera surveillance is in effect in front of the chalet on the parking side.

Bookings, Checking-In & Checking-Out

What time is check-in ?

Tenants can take possession of their chalet from 4 pm on the day of their arrival.

What time is check-out ?

Tenants must vacate the chalet no later than 11am on the day of departure.

N.B. If you need to make special arrangements, contact us.

Is it possible to book one overnight stay only ?

No, a minimum of two nights is required, and no arrivals on Saturday.

Do I pay at time of booking ?

Yes. Full payment is required.

Can we go over the maximum number of people a cottage can accommodate ?

No, it’s strictly prohibited! You must respect the maximum capacity at all times under penalty of expulsion. This applies equally to the number of visitors during the day and night. It’s a question of insurance. Our contract risks being revoked if the criteria of the insurer are not respected and no compensation can be claimed in the event of an incident or accident. Camera surveillance is in effect in front of the chalet on the parking side.

Is a credit card mandatory when booking online ?

Yes, for all our online bookings.

Are there extra housekeeping charges ?

Housekeeping is included in your stay. However, please be aware that you must leave the chalet in the condition that you received it to ensure you receive your security deposit back.

How do we get to the cottage ?

Enter the chalet address / open the pin given to you in your personal navigation assistant (eg. Google Maps, Waze, etc.). Or, print the route before leaving.

How do I check if I have a dock and access to the lake ?

I saw no availabilities online. Is there a chance I’ll find something if I call Customer Service ?

To make it easier and more secure for our renters, all of our chalets are offered for rental via Airbnb; therefore, the method of payment is according to their criteria. The units offered on the web are available in real-time, however, do not hesitate to contact us if you cannot find what you are looking for ⏤ We will do our best to help you in your approach.

Do you have a standby list in the event of cancellations ?

No, as soon as a reservation is canceled, the unit becomes available again on our website.

How early can I book for next year ?

We accept bookings up to 24 months in advance.

What taxes apply ?

In Quebec, the two mandatory taxes are GST (5%) and QST (9.5%). In addition, you must pay an accommodation tax which corresponds to 3.5% of the rental before the GST and the QST. These sums will be well detailed to you prior to your rental contract.

Can I modify a booking ?

We are aware that your plans may change and we will be happy to modify your reservation as long as the new rental period requested or the new unit desired is always available.

How is my booking total calculated?

The price of the reservation is calculated according to the length of stay, the period of the year and the number of people.

Why do you have a security deposit ?

The security (or safety) deposit corresponds to a maximum amount of $3,000 for the rental of a chalet. This is required as a guarantee in the event of breakage or damage caused by the tenant. It is reserved directly by AirBNB upon payment of the reservation and reimbursed at the end of the rental after inspection of the chalet. In the event of minor breakage, an amount equivalent to the value of the damaged property and the labor will be deducted from the deposit. Please make sure you adhere to the chalet rules.

Why a booking deposit ?

The reservation deposit corresponds to the sum that’s required by Airbnb and secures the reservation date. 

What is a balance owing ?

This is the balance of the rental payable to Airbnb before your arrival. When booking, please review the terms for cancelations.

Can I modify a booking ?

We are aware that your plans may change and we will be happy to modify your reservation as long as the new rental period requested or the new unit desired is always available.

Can I cancel a booking ?

Strict or Non-Refundable Cancellation Policy Terms: In addition to Airbnb’s Strict Policy, we offer a non-refundable option where guests pay 10% less.

Potential Issues During Your Stay

What happens if the cottage suffers damages ?

In the event of a major breakage or a problem causing the inability to occupy the unit, the tenant will be reimbursed 100% or an equivalent chalet will be allocated to him, if available. No additional amount will be granted to the tenant.

Do you keep forgotten items ?

Yes, we keep forgotten items, but only for a certain time. Contact us quickly if you forgot anything during your stay and we will do our best to co-ordinate getting your item back to you. However, please note that we are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

We accept up to 2 animals for your stay and each animal must weigh 10 pounds or less. We consider your pet as an additional paying guest. A fee of $ 50.00 will be charged for each period of 4 days or less ⏤ *Discounts provided for longterm stays.

Note: Please make sure to leave the chalet as clean as you received it, to avoid losing your security deposit.
